Human Rights History Art & Literature

Like the foundation of the same name, BUXUS EDITION, with its non-fiction books, literary and artistic program, is oriented towards human rights. Thematically, the publishing house, founded in 2017, focuses on the life and work of the jurist and Holocaust survivor Fritz Bauer (1903-1968), the history of human rights and international law, and the history of human survival combined with artistic design.

Since 2020, BUXUS EDITION, together with the Berg Institute (Madrid), has been publishing the series "Literature and Human Rights". The images on the covers of the book series were designed by the artist Benoît van Innis (1960-2024) from Belgium.
In 2021, the publishing house began to publish the "Fritz Bauer Bibliothek", which became a publication series of the newly founded Fritz Bauer Forum, with historical and contemporary stories of resistance and survival. The images for the covers of the series were designed by the artist Reinhold Spratte from Witten an der Ruhr in Germany.

Since 2025, the publishing house has begun to plan a "Scientific Series", which will be published starting in 2026.
